Plant Solutions – a Scottsdale-based interior landscape company is bringing nature indoors

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – July 22, 2021 – Plant Solutions, a Scottsdale-based leader in interior landscape design, installation and maintenance, has been incorporating plants and greenery landscapes into office buildings and workspaces around the Valley for over 40 years. Asset managers, architects and developers stay with Plant Solutions for years because of the benefits plants bring to a workplace and the quality service they receive.

Biophilic Design

A large element of Plant Solutions’ business, known as biophilic design, is used within the building industry to address occupant connectivity to the natural environment through the use of direct and indirect nature, and space and/or place conditions. The incorporation of living plants and moss walls are some of the most distinct and bold implementations of the larger design concept.

Joe Zazzera, founding principal of Plant Solutions, says the incorporation of biophilic design in workplaces contributes to employee morale and productivity: “Plants in the workspace changes the dynamic and provides a more welcoming atmosphere. They help turn an interior space into a distinct yet flexible workspace in which the entire business setting can experience and feel like they’re getting back to nature.”

Using an Interior Landscaping Company

Lindy Mertins, property manager with Hines, a renowned real estate investment, development and management firm, has been using Plant Solutions in her portfolio for over 20 years.

“It’s lovely to have a unique outdoor element in a building’s common space that would otherwise look more stark or serious … The installations Plant Solutions creates give a warm and connected impression that tenants, guests and out-of-market executives experience when walking into a lobby,” said Mertins.

Mertins adds that having an outdoor element of nature inside speaks to the value of a building and a collective space. She says there is always room to incorporate Plant Solutions’ vertical installations, such as living plant walls, when considering enhancing a company’s space and the engaging experiences greenery can provide.

“When buildings are going through structural changes—large or small—a Plant Solutions installation is the light at the end of the tunnel for employees. It’s not a disruptive process, and the technology is such that larger installations can be maintained remotely,” Mertins said. “Tenants inquire about Plant Solutions services too, because of the quality of work and that it helps carry visual consistency through the building into their leased office space.”

Biophilic design enhances a natural environment and evokes in humans a different response than more urban environments. Plant Solutions offers design and installation, horticultural service, moss wall art, plant rentals, plant walls and holiday décor for any space to revive it.
