Growing up with an entrepreneurial father, Pat developed a persevering, jack-of-all-trades work ethic (he even began his first job at the age of 12!). His ability to meet client needs with charisma, honesty, and humor is a natural strength. Pat became involved with Plant Solutions through his friendship with founder Joe back in 1990. Having spent years in the construction industry, Pat was ready for a change. He saw grand potential in Joe’s small business and bought into Plant Solutions, helping grow it into the successful company it is today.
For Pat, designing plantscapes is about more than just creating beautiful spaces. It’s about blending nature and art to craft something meaningful that leaves a lasting impression. He takes pride in how his designs—whether a vibrant patioscape, detailed moss wall art, or thoughtfully planned indoor installation—can positively influence his clients’ lives.
Pat values collaboration and thrives on working with clients who share their ideas and preferences openly. This honesty gives him the direction he needs to combine their vision with his creativity, resulting in spaces that feel alive and personal.
What truly sets Pat apart is his problem-solving mindset and hands-on approach. He believes every great idea can be brought to life and works hard to make it happen, whether he’s tackling design challenges, planning logistics, or working alongside his team on site. Pat’s dedication to the process ensures that every project runs smoothly and reflects the heart of the client’s vision. If you can imagine it, Pat will find a way to make it a reality with care, creativity, and expertise.
Outside of work, Pat is passionate about winter sports and has played hockey his entire life. He has coached youth hockey and young adult men, some of whom have gone on to play collegiate and professionally. Pat lives with his wife, Kathy, and has two grown children. They retreat to Colorado for snowmobiling and home-cooked meals as much as possible. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for a non-profit that offers mental health services to those in need.
